The Interrail Pass is a rail Pass that gives you flexible access to most trains across Europe. With Interrail, you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. Plans changed or missed a train? No worries – you can simply catch the next one!
With our upgraded Interrail Plus Pass, you get all the benefits of the standard Pass, plus the added perk of no additional fees for most trains that require seat reservations.
The Pass covers your train journeys and the cost of required seat reservations on most high-speed, international and regional trains across Europe. You can also use your Plus Pass to travel on and book a seat on night trains in Europe*.
If you purchase the Interrail Global Plus Pass, you also get 1 outbound & 1 inbound travel days to leave and return to your country of residence.
*If you wish to book a sleeping accommodation instead of a seat on a night train, you'll need to purchase it by paying the regular Interrail Pass holder fare.
You cannot travel on trains that are not included in our Pass network with the Interrail Plus Pass.
It is also not possible to reserve sleeping accommodations on night trains, trains that require a paper reservation ticket and trains that cannot be reserved using our Timetable.
Lastly, reservations can only be made for trains, but not buses or ferries. You can, however, claim discount codes for various buses and ferries across Europe through our Pass Benefits Portal.
Yes, you still need to book your seats on trains that require them. But the good news is that for most trains, the cost of making seat reservations is included in your Pass, and reservations can be made easily through our Timetable with no extra fees.
With the Plus Pass, you can enjoy a smoother, more flexible reservation experience. To keep seats free for other travellers, please follow the fair use policy outlined in our Terms and Conditions and only reserve seats for journeys you plan to take.
When you purchase a Global Plus Pass, you receive 3 reservation credits.
Seat reservations for most train journeys cost 0 credits, so you can book all the seats you need to plan your itinerary. Reservations on high-demand trains (such as the Eurostar and TGV International) may cost 1 or 2 credits depending on the level of demand.
The Italy Plus Pass does not include credits, as you can book trains included in our Pass network and Timetable for free, without any additional costs.*
*Excluding scenic trains and sleeping accommodations on night trains.
